$8,000. John Little, American 1907-1984 was born in Alabama. In the 1920s he studied at The Buffalo Fine Arts Academy, The Art Students League in New York and later with Hans Hofmann who gave him the basis of organizing abstract space. Little became a successful designer who turned back to painting & moved to Long Island where he came into the circle of abstract painters on Long Island's east end including Willem & Elaine De Kooning, Conrad Marca Relli, Jackson Pollock & Lee Krasner, James Brooks & Charlotte Park, Mary Abbott, Norman Bluhm, Joan Mitchell & Michael Goldberg and many others. Little had a long & successful exhibition career known for abstract painting.
